What you need

  • Registration with your regulator. Physiotherapists, occupational therapists, radiographers, paramedics, speech and language therapists, dietitians, biomedical scientists and several other professions register with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Pharmacists and pharmacy technicians register with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • The right visa. Most of these roles with the NHS and other eligible employers use the Health and Care Worker visa.
  • Evidence of experience. Band 6 and above usually require post-registration experience, and some specialist roles need extra qualifications.
