How we check visa sponsorship

A plain account of where the jobs come from, what we look for, and what a listing does and does not promise.

Where the jobs come from

Every morning we read the current UK vacancies on NHS Jobs and on the public careers pages of 182 employers who hire internationally, using the job feeds those sites publish. Yesterday's run read 13,930 adverts.

What makes a job appear here

A job is listed only when its advert says, in plain words, that the employer can sponsor a visa. Examples are “visa sponsorship is available for this role” or, on NHS Jobs, the employer's statement that applications from people who need Skilled Worker sponsorship are welcome. We show that sentence on every job page.

Adverts that say sponsorship is not available are left out. So are adverts that do not mention it at all, even when the employer holds a sponsor licence. A licence does not mean a particular role can be sponsored.

The sponsor register check

We also compare each employer's name with the Home Office register of licensed sponsors (the copy dated 23 October 2026). When there is a match, the job shows a green register badge. Many organisations register under a legal name that differs from their trading name, so a missing badge is not a warning on its own.

What a listing does not promise

Sponsorship is the employer's decision for each candidate. To get a visa you still need a job offer, a certificate of sponsorship, and to meet the rules for your route, such as the salary and English language requirements. These rules change, so check GOV.UK or speak to a regulated immigration adviser before you make plans.

Applying

We do not take applications or charge anyone. Every Apply button opens the employer's own page or NHS Jobs. When an advert closes, it leaves our listings at the next morning's update. Its page stays for a few weeks, marked as closed, with similar jobs that are still open.

Something wrong?

If a listing no longer offers sponsorship or its details are out of date, please tell us and we will correct it.
