About the job
Job summary
This is a fixed-term maternity cover opportunity for an experienced safeguarding practitioner to join the Corporate Safeguarding Team. Whilst working within an integrated all-age safeguarding service, the post holder will predominantly support the children's safeguarding function, providing expert advice, support, supervision and training across acute and community services. The role contributes to the Trust's statutory safeguarding responsibilities and promotes positive outcomes for children, young people and their families. We are looking for an experienced practitioner who is currently working within a safeguarding setting, either in an all-age safeguarding role or one focused on children or adults at risk. Applicants with experience in either area are encouraged to apply; however, the successful candidate will be expected to develop and maintain expertise in safeguarding children and child protection to support the primary focus of this role.
Main duties of the job

- safeguarding adults and child protection training for all colleagues
- safeguarding adults and child protection supervision for colleagues
- support paediatric liaison activities to enhance continuity of care and integrated child health services.
