Main duties of the job
About the Role
The successful applicant will bring significant experience of working with young people, including within CAMHS, and a passion for systemic thinking and family-focused interventions.
You will provide systemic assessment and therapeutic interventions for young people experiencing moderate to severe mental health difficulties, working closely with their families, carers and wider support networks. The role includes undertaking generic CAMHS assessments where required and contributing to the wider multidisciplinary assessment and treatment pathway.
Working alongside our experienced Band 8A Systemic Psychotherapist, you will co-facilitate family therapy clinics and evidence-based systemic interventions, including groups such as Non-Violent Resistance if appropriate. You will work autonomously while remaining closely connected to a supportive team, demonstrating excellent organisational skills, clinical judgement and professional self-management. Parent carers, schools and partner agencies will play an important role in your work, and you will be expected to contribute effectively to multi-agency collaboration.
About us
Our mission is to make a positive difference to people's lives by improving the quality of life for all we serve. Our values are: We Care, We Respect, We are Inclusive - so we are looking for people who live and breathe these qualities when supporting service users and carers, and in their relationships with colleagues in the Trust and our partner organisations.
Job responsibilities
If you are passionate about systemic practice, committed to improving outcomes for children, young people and families, and want to work within a supportive, reflective and effective CAMHS service, we would love to hear from you.
